Interview witn/avec HELLO GLOOM

HELLO GLOOM (also known as Ungjae (웅재)) is a singer-songwriter and rapper who founded The Faker Club label.
His first solo work the single "Drama" saw the light of September 29, 2021 followed by "Tv Star" on March 23, 2022.
On May 28th, 2022 he presented his 1st mini-album "Because I Was Young Boy".

HELLO GLOOM (également connu sous le nom de Ungjae (웅재)) est un auteur-compositeur-interprète et un rappeur qui a fondé le label The Faker Club.
Sa première œuvre solo le single "Drama" a vu le jour le 29 septembre 2021 suivi de "Tv Star" le 23 mars 2022.
Le 28 mai 2022, il a présenté son premier mini-album "Because I Was Young Boy".

KZ- Where does the name HELLO GLOOM come from?

HG- The name "HELLO GLOOM" is about my depression and wanting to overcome it. I wanted to say goodbye to my depression and say, "I'm here today, but I'm fine. Like the name, I hope my music can comfort many people that it's okay.

KZ- D'où vient le nom HELLO GLOOM ?

HG- Le nom "HELLO GLOOM" est lié à ma dépression et à mon désir de la surmonter. Je voulais dire au revoir à ma dépression et dire "Je suis là aujourd'hui, mais je vais bien". Comme le nom, j'espère que ma musique pourra réconforter beaucoup de gens en leur montrant que tout va bien.

KZ- What are your talents besides singing and dancing?

HG- I think the biggest talent is producing talent. Since I'm working as a producer and an artist, I think I can think about the artist's color and story a lot when I write my own songs and other people's songs.

KZ- Quels sont tes talents à part le chant et la danse ?

HG- Je pense que mon plus grand talent est celui de productrice. Puisque je travaille en tant que producteur et artiste, je pense que je peux penser à la couleur et à l'histoire de l'artiste lorsque j'écris mes propres chansons et celles des autres.

KZ- Tell us about your beginnings as a soloist, with the single "Drama", what memories does it bring back?

HG- It rained a lot during the music video shoot. I thought that there are days when it rains a lot. I remember being so thankful that everyone worked hard for my work while getting rained on.

KZ- Parlez-nous de vos débuts en tant que soliste, avec le single "Drama", quels souvenirs vous rappelle-t-il ?

HG- Il pleuvait beaucoup pendant le tournage du clip. Je me suis dit qu'il y a des jours où il pleut beaucoup. Je me souviens avoir été si reconnaissante que tout le monde ait travaillé dur pour moi alors qu'il pleuvait.

KZ- Let's talk about your 1st mini-album "Because I Was Young Boy", how it was born, inspiration, what you want to tell...

HG- "Because I Was Young Boy" is an EP album that I prepared for over two years. It's an album that contains the feelings that I've felt so far, and overall, it contains the lyrics that hurt my feelings. But I wanted the sound to be warm, cheerful, and beautiful because I wanted the listeners to be comforted rather than having a hard time listening to the songs.
It contains my regrets, pain, wounds, and instability, but I hope these stories will comfort people.

KZ- Parlons de votre 1er mini-album "Because I Was Young Boy", comment il est né, l'inspiration, ce que vous voulez raconter...

HG- "Because I Was Young Boy" est un album EP que j'ai préparé pendant plus de deux ans. C'est un album qui contient les sentiments que j'ai ressentis jusqu'à présent, et surtout, il contient les paroles qui m'ont blessé. Mais je voulais que le son soit chaud, joyeux et beau, car je voulais que les auditeurs soient réconfortés plutôt que d'avoir du mal à écouter les chansons.
Il contient mes regrets, ma douleur, mes blessures et mon instabilité, mais j'espère que ces histoires réconforteront les gens.

KZ- What was the most difficult song? And your favorite?

HG- I think the hardest song was the title song, "YOUNG BOY". It was a song that I worked on two and a half years ago, but I kept changing the melody and thinking about how to make it warmer and more beautiful.
I like all the songs, but my favorite song is "FALLING" these days. In my opinion, love is often not stable. But I think it's love to jump into incomplete love.

KZ- Quelle a été la chanson la plus difficile ? Et votre préférée ?

HG- Je pense que la chanson la plus difficile a été la chanson titre, "YOUNG BOY". C'est une chanson sur laquelle j'ai travaillé il y a deux ans et demi, mais je n'ai cessé de changer la mélodie et de réfléchir à la manière de la rendre plus chaude et plus belle.
J'aime toutes les chansons, mais ma chanson préférée est "FALLING" en ce moment. À mon avis, l'amour n'est souvent pas stable. Mais je pense que c'est de l'amour que de sauter dans un amour incomplet.

KZ- What or who was your inspiration for "Young Boy"?

HG- I wanted to show my regrets about my childhood and my changed self.
I wanted to comfort many people by putting the sound inside the album in a warm and beautiful way.

KZ- Quelle a été ton inspiration pour "Young Boy" ?

HG- Je voulais montrer mes regrets concernant mon enfance et mon changement de personnalité.
Je voulais réconforter beaucoup de gens en mettant le son à l'intérieur de l'album d'une manière chaleureuse et belle.

KZ- What are your plans for 2022, songs, programs, tours?

HG- In 2022, I want to play a lot of my new songs and do a lot of projects and albums for "THE FAKER CLUB". I think I still have to work. And I want to meet a lot of fans from all over the world.

KZ- Quels sont tes projets pour 2022, chansons, programmes, tournées ?

HG- En 2022, je veux jouer beaucoup de mes nouvelles chansons et faire beaucoup de projets et d'albums pour "THE FAKER CLUB". Je pense que je dois encore travailler. Et je veux rencontrer beaucoup de fans du monde entier.

KZ- If you could collaborate with another artist, who would you like it to be?

HG- Personally, I really like Swae Lee's music and I'm listening to it well, so I want to work with him.

KZ- Si tu pouvais collaborer avec un autre artiste, qui voudrais-tu que ce soit ?

HG- Personnellement, j'aime beaucoup la musique de Swae Lee et je l'écoute bien, donc je veux travailler avec lui.

KZ- Which country would you like to visit on tour?

HG- I remember performing in Madrid a long time ago. I want to feel the passion of Spanish fans again.

KZ- Quel pays aimeriez-vous visiter en tournée ?

HG- Je me souviens avoir joué à Madrid il y a longtemps. Je veux ressentir à nouveau la passion des fans espagnols.

KZ- Tell us about your hopes and dreams.

HG- An artist who gives good energy to people and a good person who takes good care of the people I love. I want to be a reliable son to my family.

KZ- Parlez-nous de tes espoirs et de tes rêves.

HG- Un artiste qui donne une bonne énergie aux gens et une bonne personne qui prend bien soin des gens que j'aime. Je veux être un fils fiable pour ma famille.
