Interview with/avec DRIPPIN

After their debut on October 28, 2020 with the mini-album Boyager with Woollim Entertainment, The group DRIPPIN (드리핀) has not stopped evolving. They kicked off 2021 with their second mini-album A Better Tomorrow on March 16 and released the single Free Pass on June 29.

Lee Hyeop (Vocalist and Dancer), Hwang Yun Seong (Leader, Dancer, Vocalist and Rapper), Joo Chang Uk (Vocalist and Dancer), Kim Dong Yun (Rapper, Vocalist and Dancer), Kim Min Seo (Vocalist and Dancer), Cha Jun Ho (Vocalist and Dancer) and maknae Alex (Dancer) presented their 3rd mini-album Villain on January 17, 2022.
In collaboration with MJ Tonz Entertainment we present you this short interview.

Après ses débuts le 28 octobre 2020 avec le mini-album Boyager avec Woollim Entertainment, Le groupe DRIPPIN (드리핀) n'a cessé d'évoluer. Ils ont donné le coup d'envoi de 2021 avec leur deuxième mini-album A Better Tomorrow le 16 mars et ont sorti le single Free Pass le 29 juin.

KZ- What is the meaning of your name, DRIPPIN?

Yun Seong - Cool and cool is a new word and it means we want to lead the trend from fashion and music in the future.

KZ- Quelle est la signification de votre nom, DRIPPIN ?

Yun Seong - Cool et cool est un nouveau mot et cela signifie que nous voulons mener la tendance de la mode et de la musique dans le futur.

KZ- Besides singing and dancing, what are you most proud of?

Chang Uk - I learned, experienced, and learned a variety of things since I was young, so I learned quickly because it was my first time learning it.
Dong Yun - Personally, I think I can concentrate better when I play rhythm games.

KZ- À part le chant et la danse, de quoi êtes-vous le plus fier ?

Chang Uk - J'ai appris, expérimenté et appris une variété de choses depuis que je suis jeune, donc j'ai appris rapidement car c'était la première fois que je l'apprenais.
Dong Yun - Personnellement, je pense que je peux mieux me concentrer lorsque je joue à des jeux de rythme.

KZ- The concept of this mini album "Villain" has changed a lot. What do you think about this change?

Min Seo- I always thought it would be good to transform my image in this way, so I was preparing for this moment, I think it was very fresh and fun to prepare.
Jun Ho - I think it's such a cool change, challenge, and make a story. I think it's fun and cool in itself.

KZ- Le concept de ce mini album "Villain" a beaucoup changé. Que pensez-vous de ce changement ?

Min Seo- J'ai toujours pensé que ce serait bien de transformer mon image de cette façon, alors je me préparais pour ce moment, je pense que c'était très frais et amusant à préparer.
Jun Ho - Je pense que c'est un changement cool, un défi et une histoire à raconter. Je pense que c'est amusant et cool en soi.

KZ- What was the most difficult song to record among the "Villain" songs? What's the most fun song to record?

Hyeop - I remember recording and enjoying all of these songs! Among them, the most difficult song was delay and the most enjoyable song was Switch!. Delusion is a song that requires a little bit of emotion, so I think I used more energy than usual, and Switch also needed a lot of energy, but I think I was able to record it excitedly because it fit me well!
Alex - The hardest part was my rap part What you gonna do. It was very difficult to create a relaxed but strong feeling, but at the same time, the process of trying to find the feeling was really fun, so it was the most fun part.

KZ- Quelle a été la chanson la plus difficile à enregistrer parmi les chansons de "Villain" ? Quelle est la chanson la plus amusante à enregistrer ?

Hyeop - Je me souviens avoir enregistré et apprécié toutes ces chansons ! Parmi elles, la chanson la plus difficile était Delusion et la chanson la plus agréable était Switch ! Delusion est une chanson qui nécessite un peu d'émotion, donc je pense que j'ai utilisé plus d'énergie que d'habitude, et Switch a également nécessité beaucoup d'énergie, mais je pense que j'ai pu l'enregistrer avec enthousiasme parce qu'il me correspondait bien !
Alex - La partie la plus difficile a été ma partie rap What you gonna do. C'était très difficile de créer un sentiment détendu mais fort, mais en même temps, le processus pour essayer de trouver ce sentiment était vraiment amusant, donc c'était la partie la plus amusante.

KZ- What's the hardest part between the "Villain" choreography and the song?

Hyeop - I think the bridge part this time was the most difficult part to sing "noway noway" I think it was the most difficult part because I had to set the mood but express it strongly to some extent.
Min Seo - I think the villain' chorus part is difficult. The dance moves were really intense, so we worked really hard to prepare it.

KZ- Quelle est la partie la plus difficile entre la chorégraphie de "Villain" et la chanson ?

Hyeop - Je pense que la partie pont a été la plus difficile cette fois-ci pour chanter "noway noway". Je pense que c'était la partie la plus difficile parce que je devais créer l'ambiance mais l'exprimer fortement dans une certaine mesure.
Min Seo - Je pense que la partie du chœur des méchants est difficile. Les mouvements de danse étaient vraiment intenses, donc nous avons travaillé très dur pour le préparer.

KZ- "7vilaz" is a song about the DRIPPIN members?

Jun Ho- It's an intro music that makes you look forward to the journey that opens up to the Drippin's History.

KZ- "7vilaz" est une chanson sur les membres de DRIPPIN ?

Jun Ho- C'est une musique d'introduction qui vous fait attendre avec impatience le voyage qui s'ouvre sur l'histoire de Drippin.

KZ- If you could collaborate with another artist, who would you like it to be and why?

Yun Seong - If I do a collaboration next time, I would like to collaborate with Taemin and Hoshi. The way you express it in the performance is so cool that I want to learn it together.
Dong Yun: I'm into Dean these days, and I'd be really happy to hear Dean's voice at the recording booth. He's my favorite artist, so I want to do it with him.

KZ- Si vous pouviez collaborer avec un autre artiste, qui aimeriez-vous que ce soit et pourquoi ?

Yun Seong - Si je fais une collaboration la prochaine fois, j'aimerais collaborer avec Taemin et Hoshi. La façon dont vous l'exprimez dans la performance est tellement cool que je veux l'apprendre ensemble.
Dong Yun : Je suis à fond dans Dean ces jours-ci, et je serais vraiment heureux d'entendre sa voix dans la cabine d'enregistrement. C'est mon artiste préféré, alors je veux le faire avec lui.

KZ- Tell us your goals and dreams.

Chang Uk- Our goal as a team is to be well known and recognized by many people. Personally, I want to be someone's role model.
Alex - My goal is for DRIPPIN to always win first place on music shows in 2022.

KZ- Racontez-nous vos objectifs et vos rêves.

Chang Uk- Notre objectif en tant qu'équipe est d'être connu et reconnu par de nombreuses personnes. Personnellement, je veux être le modèle de quelqu'un.
Alex - Mon objectif est que DRIPPIN remporte toujours la première place dans les émissions musicales en 2022.

KZ- Say something to the global DREAMIN

Min Seo- Hello Global DREAMIN, I always miss you, but I'm sorry the situation is not good.I want to get better soon and perform with overseas DREAMING as soon as possible. Thank you so much and I love you.
Dong Yun- Thank you so much for loving DRIPPIN from afarI hope COVID-19 ends soon and the situation gets better so I can meet you soon.

KZ- Dites quelque chose au DREAMIN mondial.

Min Seo- Bonjour Global DREAMIN, vous me manquez toujours, mais je suis désolé que la situation ne soit pas bonne. Je veux aller mieux bientôt et me produire avec les DREAMING à l'étranger dès que possible. Merci beaucoup et je vous aime.
Dong Yun- Merci beaucoup d'aimer DRIPPIN de loin. J'espère que le COVID-19 se termine bientôt et que la situation s'améliore pour que je puisse vous rencontrer bientôt.
