Interview with/avec E'LAST

The group E'last (엘라스트) made their pre-debut under the name EBOYZ under the label E Entertainment and they were documenting their development in the program EBOYZ Unlock.
Its members are: Choi In (Vocalist and Dancer), Seung Yeop (Vocalist and Dancer), Rano (Leader, Rapper and Dancer), Baek Gyeol (Vocalist and Dancer), Ro Min (Vocalist and Dancer), Won Hyuk (Rapper, Vocalist and Dancer), Won Jun (Rapper and Dancer) and maknae Ye Jun (Vocalist and Dancer); the latter two joined as early as 2020 and came out of the controversial Produce X 101 program.
They debuted on June 9, 2020 with the EP Day Dream and their second mini-album Awake will be released on November 11, 2020.
On September 29, 2021 they presented their first single Dark Dream

Ils ont fait leurs débuts le 9 juin 2020 avec l'EP Day Dream et leur deuxième mini-album Awake sortira le 11 novembre 2020.

KZ- What is the meaning of the name "E'LAST"?

Rano - The meaning of our E'LAST name is short for Everlasting, and it was created with the meaning of union, eternity, and immortality.

KZ- What are your talents apart from singing and dancing?

Seungyeop- In my case, I have a musical.
I'll sing "Open Your Eyes".

KZ- Quels sont vos talents en dehors du chant et de la danse ?

Seungyeop- Dans mon cas, j'ai une comédie musicale.

KZ- What memories does "Day Dream" bring back to you?

Romin- First of all, since it's our debut album, everything is new and fascinating.
Especially, we promoted on music shows for 10 weeks.
I think it was a long and fun memory.

KZ- Quels sont les souvenirs que "Day Dream" vous rappelle ?

Romin- Tout d'abord, comme c'est notre premier album, tout est nouveau et fascinant.
En particulier, nous avons fait la promotion d'émissions musicales pendant 10 semaines.
Je pense que c'était un souvenir long et amusant.

KZ- Let's talk about your latest work "Dark Dream" What do you want to tell us about it?

Yejun- Since we're back as a whole group after a year, we want to make a better album.
It's very meaningful and high quality because we practice one by one and based on what we practiced together.
I think I put more effort into releasing his album.

KZ- Parlons de votre dernière oeuvre "Dark Dream". Que voulez-vous nous dire à ce sujet ? Yejun- Puisque nous sommes de retour en tant que groupe entier après un an, nous voulons faire un meilleur album.

KZ- "Dark dream" is darker, more mature perhaps. What was the hardest part? (including lyrics and dance)

Choi In- First of all, as our worldview is nearing its peak, facial expressions were difficult, but we're on board.
The choreography for the two songs was the hardest one ever.
So, I think the group dance was really hard.
It was really hard and hard, but I think we made a great performance thanks to the members.

KZ- "Dark dream" est plus sombre, plus mature peut-être. Quelle a été la partie la plus difficile ? (y compris les paroles et la danse)

KZ- Let's talk about the rap of "Dark Dream". What was your inspiration?

Wonjun- In fact, Hyuk and I wrote the lyrics together.
There's something I want to say.
Won Hyuk- In my case, I want to be able to connect better by looking at the lyrics that are already written in the vocal.
I thought of those lyrics and words a lot, and as In said, as the worldview is reaching its peak, it's more sad.
I wanted to express that kind of feeling, so I was inspired by something.Rather than that, I thought it would fit well with the lyrics that are included in the vocal lyrics. That's why I wrote the lyrics.

Wonjun- Hyuk said he got a lot of inspiration from reading the lyrics, but I was also very...
If Tori is the same, E'LAST will have a bad relationship that doesn't work out well.
I made a story like a tori.
I've been thinking about what I should talk about, what I should write, and what lyrics I should I write?
I thought about it a lot. I didn't participate in it myself, but during our debut album, "Dangerous", I get a lot of inspiration from watching the music video.
While looking at the story that continues, "Oh, I was like this back then." When it connects, good lyrics are written.
That's what I thought when I wrote the lyrics.
Rano- It's profound.

KZ- Parlons du rap de "Dark Dream". Quelle a été votre inspiration ?

Wonjun- En fait, Hyuk et moi avons écrit les paroles ensemble.
Il y a quelque chose que je veux dire.
Won Hyuk- Dans mon cas, je veux être capable de mieux me connecter en regardant les paroles qui sont déjà écrites dans le vocal.

J'y ai beaucoup réfléchi. Je n'y ai pas participé moi-même, mais pendant notre premier album, "Dangerous", je trouve beaucoup d'inspiration en regardant le clip.

KZ- If you could collaborate with another artist, who would you like it to be?

Baekgyeol- I like hip genre, and the members want hip and trendy songs.

Wonjun- In fact, for the first time, E'LAST U debuted in May.

Wonjun- Don't you get greedy? Since there are four of us, we can learn more about each other.
Because I think it's a good opportunity. If we have a more unit opportunity, we have to develop more if we have a chance like that, so we're practicing and practicing really hard. If the unit works, I think it'll be fun and work harder.

KZ- Parlons de vos projets. Après l'unité E'LAST-U, y aura-t-il d'autres unités ? de nouveaux projets ?

Wonjun- En fait, pour la première fois, E'LAST U a fait ses débuts en mai.
Quand on y pense et quand le personnel de notre société y pense, les charmes des membres de E'LAST....

KZ- Dites-nous trois choses dont vous ne pourriez pas vous passer.

Romin- Tout d'abord, ELRING est la chose la plus importante pour nous.
Donc premièrement, ELRING ! Et deuxièmement, si mes parents n'étaient pas là, nous ne serions pas là, n'est-ce pas ? Donc, mes parents...
Troisièmement, j'ai pensé à l'oxygène, mais quand j'en parle, il n'y a pas de fin.
Ce qui est important, c'est qu'en tant qu'humains, je pense que se fixer des objectifs est important dans nos vies.
Comme vous le savez tous, il existe différents buts, dont celui de gagner la première place aux émissions musicales. Bref, les objectifs, les parents, et nous...
ELRING ! Je pense que ces trois éléments sont les plus importants.

KZ- Tell us about your hopes and dreams.

Won Hyuk- As Romin just said, I really want to win first place on a music show one day and hold a solo concert in Korea first.
I want to be on stage with ELRING. Soon, we'll be on a tour abroad and meet our fans.
I want to perform on many stages.

KZ- Parlez-nous de vos espoirs et de vos rêves.
