Hwan: I quit playing tennis, got interested in music in high school, and started dreaming of becoming a singer when I was 19.
Seo Seokjin : When I was in middle school, I went to the same middle school and now I have a dream of becoming a singer after seeing the stage of Wonpil from ‘Day6’, an artist belonging to JYP.
Sung Sub: When I was in high school, when I was covering the dances and songs of the seniors of BTS, I was very moved by the meaning of the storytelling and narrative in it. So I started making music.
Hojin: I became interested in idols after seeing the performances of SHINee seniors, and I have always wanted to become a singer since I was in the 3rd year of middle school.
Eun Taek: Ever since I was little, I loved to sing. After I accidentally got cast on the street when I was in middle school, I dreamed of becoming a singer and started making music.
IF: Since I was in school, I really liked music, so I joined a band and started making music. After that, I had a dream of becoming an idol, and I think I started making music in earnest.
Seungyong: When I was young, I loved being on stage so much that I always wanted to become an idol.
Hyeonmin: Since I was young, it was really cool to see the various seniors working together. Besides being a singer, I also dreamed of becoming an athlete, but seeing how people who listen to music are happy, I also started music because I wanted to give happiness to many people through music.
KZ- We know that N.CUS stands for No. Competitors Under the Sky but what about the fandom name CU:KEY?
N.CUS: A word that combines N.CUS and KEY, and the important key that can open us is the fans, and it contains the meaning that our N.CUS was started because of the fans. Also, ‘Complete. It is also an abbreviation of ‘Ultimate KEY’, and for us, it means that the fans are the complete and ultimate key of N.CUS.
KZ- Nous savons que N.CUS est l'acronyme de No. Competitors Under the Sky, mais qu'en est-il du nom de fandom CU:KEY ?
KZ- What are your talents apart from singing and dancing?
Hwan: Exercise and cooking! In the past, I had a career as a tennis player and cooking in the kitchen.
Seo Seokjin: I like leisure sports and I think I am good at it. I am also interested in writing lyrics, composing and recording.
Sung Sub: I’ve been making music since I was a kid, so I’m usually good at the first instrument I play, and I have an absolute pitch!
Eun Taek: I have been studying English a lot since I was young, so I am confident in listening and interpreting English. Basic conversation is also possible to some extent!
IF: I haven't discovered the hidden talent yet, but I have the talent to love the cookies that love N.CUS.
Seungyong: I haven't found it yet. I am concentrating on singing and dancing!
Hyeonmin: Except for singing and dancing, I seem to have a bit of a talent for Limbo!
KZ- Quels sont vos talents en dehors du chant et de la danse ?
KZ- What memories come to you with Matchless Love and Super Luv?
Eun Taek: I still can't forget the first stage of my debut album. This is because it was the stage where a group called N.CUS appeared for the first time and it was a stage that directly showed N.CUS on stage to the fans.
Hyeonmin: It was my first time working on an album, so it was unfamiliar and strange to have the experience of having fewer thanks tos and to work on the album itself.
KZ- Quels souvenirs vous viennent avec Matchless Love et Super Luv ?
KZ- Unripe Love is your second single, what do you want to transmit? What has changed?
N.CUS: If the debut album expressed intense and passionate love, this album expressed new love and free love. Also, the genre of music has changed a bit.
KZ- Which song was more difficult, GET OUT or Midnight?
Hojin: It seems that singing ‘Midnight’ is more difficult and ‘GET OUT’ is difficult to dance.
Seo Seokjin : ‘Midnight’ seems more difficult. Since the tempo is slower than ‘GET OUT’, it seems that more attention was paid to expressing more carefully.
KZ- What new projects do you have in mind, EP, full album?
N.CUS: We can't tell you in detail about the next album as we're still taking the first step towards our 2nd album, but we will do our best to deliver good music to you, no matter what type of album it is.
KZ- Quels nouveaux projets avez-vous en tĆŖte, EP, album complet ?
KZ- If you could collaborate with another artist, who would you like it to be?
Eun Taek: I would like to see the same stage with BTS' Jimin and SEVENTEEN's Hoshi as role models someday.
IF: It’s really our personal dream and I know it doesn’t make sense, but I want to try it with ‘G-Dragon’ sunbaenim, who I really respect and who is my role model.
KZ- Tell us about your hopes and dreams.
IF: I want to try to win first place on a music show with our members.
Sung Sub: I want to participate in all the songs on our N.CUS album by writing lyrics and composing songs.
N.CUS: Thank you for loving N.CUS a lot! We will show you a lot of good things in the future, so please look forward to it, and we hope that the pandemic situation will improve quickly so that we can meet foreign fans!
