The group One n' Only came into being in 2018 after a joint tour of the groups EBiSSH and Satori Boys Club. In November 2018 they released their first single I'm Swag with the agency Stardust.
Its members are REI (Vocalist and Dancer), TETTA (Vocalist and Dancer), NAOYA (Dancer), Kenshin (Rapper and Dancer), Hayato (Rapper and Dancer) and Eiku (Vocalist and Dancer). KOHKI (Dancer) left the group in 2019.
They released the single L.O.C.A. on January 21, 2021.
Let's know more about them.
KZ- After the EBiSSH and Satori Boys Club tour, ONE N' ONLY is born. Tell us about how this beginning came about.
TETTA- It started out as a project where we thought it would be interesting to do something together as a group with completely different elements from each other, and we performed for the first time as "ONE N'ONLY" during the encore of a live concert, the reaction of those around us was great so here we are.
REI- A mature and sexy performance by EBiSSH. Satori Shondan (SBC) was formed to bring out the best of each group and to increase the range of new performances that each group cannot do.
EIKU- As a joint project between EBiSSH and Satori Shondan (SBC), we thought it would be interesting if these two groups could do something together, and we performed a song called "I'M SWAG" at the encore of our tour in 2018, and from there our activities as ONE N' ONLY increased!
HAYATO- I thought that by bringing the two groups together, we could bring out the best in each other and create a great chemical reaction!
KENSHIN- The performance and the view of the world that each group can't do but can do when they are combined is wonderful, and the people around us have a good reputation.
NAOYA- When EBiSSH and Satori Shondan (SBC) had their first live performance together, we thought it would be interesting if the two groups performed something together, and when we performed "I'M SWAG", the audience responded well and we decided to continue.
KZ- What are your skills beyond dancing and singing?
TETTA- I'm not that good at playing games, but I am good at playing a game called "Taiko no Tatsujin" and I play it a lot. I used to make my own bachi from scratch.
REI- I upload my cooking on Instagram and give recipes on the cookpad app!
EIKU- I'm good at guitar, drums, bass, sports (basketball) and acrobatics (backflips and backflips). I'm especially good at drumming, which I've been doing since I was in first grade!
HAYATO- I have a good memory, so I can remember the faces of all the fans I've met!
KENSHIN- I have monkey arms and I can bend my elbow in very strange directions.
NAOYA- I'm a footballer, I've been playing for 11 years. I'm also into fashion coordination, posing for photoshoots, making up choreography and finger push-ups.
KZ- I'm Swag is your first single, what do you remember from that time?
TETTA- The number of members had increased by three since EBiSSH, and we had just started working as a new group with three vocalists instead of two, so I was anxious, but at the same time, I was overwhelmingly excited and looking forward to the future.
REI- The song had an aggressive tone from the moment I heard the demo before recording. When I heard the catchy rap parts, I thought it was an interesting new challenge that I'd never had before!
EIKU- I remember I was observing the filming of EBiSSH and suddenly in the dressing room, a staff member made me listen to this song and told me that we were going to perform together. It sounded really cool and I was really looking forward to it!
HAYATO- I was excited because it was a complete change from the atmosphere of the songs we had been playing and it was my favorite taste!
KENSHIN- There was still a wall between EBiSSH and Satori Shondan (SBC), so we went out for dinner after rehearsals and actively communicated with each other to get to know each other. I remember that we were invited to a TV music show for our debut single.
NAOYA- The atmosphere of this song is different from that of EBiSSH, and I found a new me in this song. I was looking forward to performing this song from the first time I heard it!
KZ- Your first album ON'O came in October 2020. What did you want to say?
TETTA- It's the culmination of everything we've done as ONE N' ONLY, so we want to show the best of ONE N' ONLY that we have.
REI- The lyrics have a strong message. From aggressive tunes to bright tunes like "HOLIDAY" and "POP! POP!", or a quiet ballad, etc. You can see various faces of us in this work.
EIKU- This album is the one that contains everything about ONE N' ONLY. It's an album that will show you what kind of group we are.
HAYATO- The theme of "ON'O" is the cry of our naked heart. We are expressing what we feel in our music.
KENSHIN- The lead song "Shut Up! BREAKER" is a song criticizing the slander on SNS which is becoming a problem in today's society. One word can change a person's feelings and life, and the song is about valuing words more and more.
NAOYA- It has a different tune and a wider range of songs, so I think you can feel our growth in this album!
KZ- Votre premier album ON'O est sorti en octobre 2020. Que vouliez-vous dire ?
KZ- Which is your favorite song? and which was the one that was the hardest to compose?
TETTA- My Love
REI- "My Love". It was also the theme song of a romantic drama. It's a noble love song, and it's a song that we've never sung before, so it's a song that I'm very attached to.
EIKU- It's "Only One For Me". It's a song for us and our fans, SWAG. I like it best because the lyrics resonate straight from the heart.
HAYATO- L.O.C.A
KENSHIN- "Category". It's a song where both HAYATO's and my raps stand out, and I think it's a song that can be called a synonym for us.
NAOYA- Don't Worry.
TETTA- We are creating a new music style "JK-POP" which has both K-POP and J-POP elements.
REI- The dance is intense, with lots of formation moves. The music has a strong electronic dance feel to it, and the lyrics are often appealing and cry out to the world today, with a strong message.
EIKU- There are many songs dedicated to mainstream audiences. I think our style of music is to say "this is how we are" and to write songs that are more intense than that.
HAYATO- Our music has a Japanese pronunciation that sounds like English and is comfortable to listen to. I think it's music with a strong message that appeals to society.
KENSHIN- It's a different sound from traditional J-Pop, and there are many songs that resonate not only with Japanese people but also with people from overseas, some of which are aggressive, and some of which are royal love songs.
NAOYA- I think it can be any kind of Japanese traditional music, Western music or K-POP.
KZ- Let's talk about your last work L.O.C.A Where does the title come from?
REI- LOCA means crazy or losing reason in Spanish, but the song "L.O.C.A." was made to express the adult love of a man who becomes more and more crazy, who can't escape from the person he loves, and who is drowning in love...
KZ- Parlons de votre derniĆØre Åuvre L.O.C.A D'oĆ¹ vient le titre ?
KZ- If you could collaborate with another artist, who would you like it to be?
TETTA- I would like to collaborate with BTS. A collaboration with BTS who is overwhelmingly popular at the moment would be totally inspiring for us. Also, we are close in age to them, so I think it would be more stimulating.
REI- I'd like to collaborate with K-POP artists like BTS, who are also active overseas!
EIKU- iKON. I simply like their songs, and I especially like JU-NE's voice, which I thought was cool when I heard it live.
HAYATO- BTS, ATEEZ and NCT.
KENSHIN- Kid Ink. I’d like to collaborate with world famous rappers and be at the forefront of hip hop.
NAOYA- I’d like to collaborate with K-POP groups.
KZ- Si vous pouviez collaborer avec un autre artiste, qui aimeriez-vous que ce soit ?
KZ- Tell us about your plans. Are you currently working on a new track, single, album?
OnO- We released our digital single "L.O.C.A" in January 2021 and we will be going on a nationwide tour starting in May 2021. We are currently working on a new song to be released.

TETTA- First of all, I want to perform on the big stage of Tokyo Dome with ONE N' ONLY, and I want to be a group that ONE N' ONLY keeps being loved.
REI- As a group we want to be a group that performs and is accepted in every country in the world! Foreign languages and songs. We want to be exposed to foreign languages, songs and performances, so that we can broaden our performance! As individuals, we would like to be able to work as actors and voice actors.
EIKU- I want to be an artist appreciated in the whole world! We would like to be a group that is not only known in Japan but for everyone in the world to know about ONE N' ONLY!

I'll definitely study the language before then! LOL!

I love you.
NAOYA- I can't come to see you at the moment, but when things settle down, I will definitely come to see you, so please wait for me! Thank you for your support!
